Synopsis[]
In an attempt to save Zakuro from Quiche's wrath, Mint ends up facing off against her idol in a desperate attempt to get the star to understand that Mint now sees her for who she truly is outside the world of fame fortune.
Plot[]
The Mew Mews arriving at the TV studio Zakuro was at and resolved themselves to save her from the Aliens.
Zakuro, in her room, gazes at the moon and vows to shake the hearts of her audience. Meanwhile, the Mew Mews try and get past a security guard stationed by the interior entrance, but fail miserably every time. However, Ichigo has an epiphany when she overhears that some crew members were delivering some costumes for the tv event. So the Mew Mews sneak into the crew's van, allowing them to enter the building and disguise themselves in the costumes. A crew member thinking the Mew Mews were part of the show guides them to Zakuro's room, and there Zakuro demands to know why they're there. The Mew Mews warn Zakuro that Quiche is coming after her, but before she could formally answer, Mint claims that the Mew Mews will handle it for her. The security guard from before then appears and chases the girls out of the room.
Once the Mew Mews lose the security guard, Mint asserts that they can't be complacent when Quiche targets Zakuro and suggests they split up to look for a way in. They all agree and split up. On stage, Zakuro performs in front of some cameras, but midway stops and asks to do a redo. Internally, Zakuro claims that she doesn't need teammates. Elsewhere, Ichigo contacts Ryo and informs him of the situation, and he suggests that Ichigo locate Quiche before he comes into contact with Zakuro. Eventually, Ichigo finds Zakuro in her dressing room and nearly gets caught by the security guard again, but Zakuro diverts him elsewhere and then talks with Ichigo. They discuss how Ichigo sincerely feels about wanting Zakuro to join the Mew Mews and why they all fight as Mew Mews. Ichigo then explains how they are striving not only to eliminate the Aliens, but to succeed in their personal goals. Zakuro claims that her response didn't answer her question and leaves. Quiche then appears from the outside and apologizes to Ichigo that he's not after her tonight and goes off to target Zakuro on stage, but Minto comes to her aid.
As Quiche summons a swarm of Aliens to his aid, the remaining Mew Mews arrive and fight against them as Zakuro sings at Mint's request. Soon the aliens merge into a giant slimy snake-like monster which quickly incapacitates the Mew Mews. On the other hand, Mint struggles to stand up and proclaims that she wants to become stronger, inspiring Zakuro to transform and fight against the monster and defeat it with her ZaCross Dagger. Although he lost the fight, Quiche was still amused he flees the scene. Although the situation is under control, the Mew Mews then realize that their fight is being recorded on live tv and are ambushed by a tv news crew who tries to interview the girls. Impromptuly, Ichigo introduces them as the local heroes, Tokyo Mew Mews. Unbeknownst to them, Ryo and Keiichiro were watching the live interview, as did Aoyama.
Afterward, the girls briefly discussed what had occurred on a bridge over a street. Zakuro then admits that she usually doesn't like working with teams, but will give it a try with them. With that, Zakuro formally joins the Mew Mews, and a commemoration photo is taken.

Trivia[]
- Zakuro transforms into her human/wolf Mew Mew form for the second time, using her signature attack from her mystical ZaCross Whip.
- The title refers to Zaukro's feelings about herself and her reasons for singing and acting, as well as her newfound mystical abilities as a Mew Mew whose human physiology is infused with that of a gray wolf. Unlike her earlier 200s counterpart, her purple hair is in a high ponytail instead of staying loose to her waist.
- The 2002-2004 attack Ribbon Zakuro Spear changes to Ribbon ZaCross Pure
- In the 2002 anime, Quiche/Dren uses a human spirit and a snake DNA to make a Chimera Snake, but in the 2022 reboot he has them combine themselves into the said chimera snake.
- Unlike the 2002 Mew Mew Power anime, Mint never confronted Zakuro after making her feel bad by refusing the Mew Mews to join his team.
