Synopsis[]
A dangerous situation of epic proportions threatens thousands of civilians, but where is Ichigo?! It's a race against time to find her and wipe out the alien threat!
Plot[]
The Mew Mews fight against a Bat Chimera Animas and Ichigo finishes it off. Pie, watching from afar, notes the disposal was a failure and that more data is necessary. Riding down an elevator they were in, Ichigo is happy about their progress thus far and figures they'll get their normal bodies back soon enough. Pie returns to the Alien's spaceship, where Quiche sarcastically thanks Pie for the perpetual failures Pie and Tart have succeeded in while he's on standby on the ship. Although Tart argues that Quiche left the ship to face off against the Mew Mews, he claims he was merely interested in meeting his "crush" again. Tart then notes his annoyance at how pesky the Mew Mews have been to them by continuously ruining their plans. Quiche then announces that he has a new plan to thwart the Mew Mews called the "Tokyo Gondawa Renaissance" while a giant black mass was hovering over Tokyo Tower. In the Mew Mew HQ basement, Keiichiro and Ryo both note the irregular reading they were getting from Ichigo. They then detect abnormal readings from Tokyo Tower and believe it to be the work of the Aliens.
Aoyama finally gives Ichigo the tickets to the concert he wants her to attend, and Ichigo is thrilled that she'll be able to spend quality time with him. Ryo then appears behind Ichigo and reminds her not to be late for work, and he's then introduced to Aoyama. Ichigo then notices a tense feeling fills the air after the two men exchange greetings, and before leaving, Ryo advises her to keep her cool less she exposes her cat ears and tail. The meeting with Ryo had Aoyama a bit on edge, which Ichigo noticed. At that moment, it starts to rain, and Aoyama immediately covers Ichigo with his hoodie and notes how she still wears the bell necklace he gave her. Feeling emotionally overwhelmed by Aoyama's cordial act and not wanting her to reveal her cat ears or tail, Ichigo rushes off, leaving Aoyama behind.
Once the rain starts to disperse and settle, Ichigo takes off the hoodie and notices that she's changed into a cat. Panic-stricken by this outcome, Ichigo is found and picked up by a couple of kindergarten students, but then runs off and is nearly hit by a truck. Managing to cross the other side of the street, Ichigo heads into an alleyway where a large male cat tries to court her into becoming his girlfriend, but Ryo rescues her just in time. Later, Ryo explains to Ichigo why she's transformed into a cat due to the animal DNA inside her, which could become permanent. While Ryo continues his explanation, Ichigo starts to groom herself, much to Ryo's annoyance. Keiichiro then calls Ryo to inform him about the giant cocoon hovering over Tokyo Tower. As Ryo learns this, Ichigo becomes distracted by a trinket latched onto a young girl's backpack and followed her to a riverside, where she finds Aoyama's hoodie latched onto a dead tree hanging over the river. Trying to fetch the hoodie, Ichigo falls into the river and starts to drown as news of the cocoon is spread across the area. When the Mew Mews gather to discuss the current events, Seiji's car pulls up by the group, and he approaches Mint to tell her about the school in America, wanting her to enroll there soon. However, Mint hesitates to respond immediately, and Seiji notes that she's changed since she'd instantly replied of her immediate interest in enrolling. Seiji then advises Mint to consider her choices carefully as her decision will affect her for the rest of her life, and he takes his leave.
Afterward, in the basement of the Café Mew Mew, the Mew Mews are briefed by Keiichiro on the situation above Tokyo Tower and how it's likely related to the Aliens. To combat this, Keiichiro suggests the Mew Mews fetch the Mew Aqua around the vicinity of the cocoon to purify it before it hatches and unleashes the toxic pollutants inside. Although Ryo wants the Mew Mews to dispatch, Lettuce mentions that Ichigo isn't there, but Ryo claims she has her own problems now that she needs to handle. After the Mew Mews voice their concern for Ichigo, Ryo's loud outburst about the dire situation has the Mew Mews finally dispatched.
As the Mew Mews search for the Mew Aqua, they each remember a personal memory of theirs involving Ichigo. The cat in question awakens in Aoyama's living room. She then passes out after seeing Aoyama in the buff when he decides to take a bath with her. Back to Ryo and Keiichiro, Ryo leaves to help the Mew Mews, but in reality, is concerned for Ichigo, which Keiichiro is well aware of. Returning to Ichigo, Aoyama gives her a good bath, and after she's dried off, Ichigo meets Lau, Aoyama's jealous dog. Eventually, Ichigo ends up in Aoyama's room and sleeps on his bed with him during the night. When Ichigo tries to kiss Aoyama, Lau interrupts it, and after a brief argument with the dog, Ichigo transforms back into her human form. Now panic-stricken, Ichigo thinks about what'll happen to her if Aoyama wakes up from his sleep.
