"Everyone's Waiting For You! Run, Ichigo!" is the eleventh episode and the penultimate/second-to-last season 1 episode of Tokyo Mew Mew New.
Synopsis[]
Aliens have invaded, but Ichigo is nowhere to be found! Her friends have faith she'll appear and lend a hand, but will she come to their aid in time?
Plot[]
Shocked that she's changed back into her human form, Aoyama slowly begins to wake up, and Ichigo once again transforms back into her feline form. Believing that staying at Aoyama's home is too much of a risk for her, Ichigo absconds from the place and ends up in a dark alley, lost, hungry, and alone.
The following morning, a news copter gives a live report on the cocoon hovering over Tokyo Tower accompanied by the Aliens: Quiche, Pie, and Tart. Watching the news feed from the underground base of the Tokyo Mew Mew Keiichiro notices that Quiche had in his hand a piece of Mew Aqua and relays this to Ryo and the other Mew Mews. In light of this revelation, Ryo has the Mew Mews abandon their search for the Mew Aqua and head directly to Tokyo Tower. Lettuce asks if Ichigo will join them; however, Ryo lies and says he'll send her their way eventually. Once the Mew Mew's feed is cut, Keiichiro asks if what Ryo said was a wise choice, and Ryo begrudgingly says he'll figure a way to get her there. As Mint hitches a ride with Zakuro, she receives a text from her brother Seiji reminding her about the abroad school offer. He'll need a response from her the following day by 9:00 am tomorrow and notes he'll remind her again later. Ignoring the text message, Mint rides off with Zakuro on her motorbike to Tokyo Tower.
Meanwhile, the Aliens stand on a platform on the tower as Pie details that the plan's progress is at 92%, with a 99.8% chance of success. Quiche then says that their plan is infallible, but rather dull, which Pie rebukes as unnecessary. They all then talk about how they and their kind will be able to live on Earth once their mission is complete, and a backstory is given about the condition of the Aliens' home planet. For the sake of their alien race, the three alien's goal is to terraform Earth so that it can become inhabitable for their race. Just then, the Mew Mews, minus Ichigo, arrive at the scene and engage in battle against the Aliens. In retaliation, Quiche summons many Prey Mantis Chimera Animas to attack the surrounding civilians. Hence, Mint has Zakuro help some of the civilians evacuate, and she then deals with some of the Chimeras with the help of Pudding and Lettuce. Once all the civilians are evacuated, Quiche taunts the Mew Mews claiming it's boring that Ichigo isn't there, but decides to deal with them for now. Quiche faces off against Mint, Tart against Pudding, and Zakuro paired with Lettuce face off against Pie.
Amid the fight, Quiche gives Mint two choices: try and take the Mew Aqua from him or save two civilians from a Chimeras. Unable to decide, Pudding rescues the civilians, but is injured in the process. A comment on Mint's indecisiveness from Quiche prompts Mint to recall how her brother voiced his concern for his sister's trouble deciding whether or not she'd accept the offer given to her. In that moment of hesitation, two Chimeras attack Mint injuring her left leg and making her realize that she's moving at a slower pace. Before Quiche could allow the Chimeras, he was riding to attack Mint, but Zakuro protected Mint and motivated Mint to snap out of her indecisive slump.
Elsewhere, Ichigo, still in her cat form, walks the streets while lamenting her current situation. Soon, she overhears from her friends Moe and Miwa about the Alien attack at Tokyo Tower and the absence of the Pink Mew Mew. Hurrying to Tokyo Tower, Ichigo runs into the big cat that tries to court Ichigo again, but is rescued by another cat who transforms back into her human form upon kissing it. Moments after, Ichigo bumps into Ryo accompanied by Masha. After a boisterous argument between them, Ryo gives her some food Keiichiro made and briefs her on the situation at Tokyo Tower. Up to date with everything, Ichigo with Masha rushes to Tokyo Tower.
Returning to Tokyo Tower, the Mew Mews are not only surrounded by the Chimeras, but also starting to become exhausted from fighting against their hordes. Despite their exhaustion, the group still tries their best to defend themselves against the Chimera threats. As Ichigo heads to their location while transforming into her Mew Mew form and promises that she'll attend the concert with Aoyama.
Finally reaching Tokyo Tower, Ichigo uses her Strawberry Bell to defeat some of the Chimeras and regroup with her fellow Mew Mews. Ichigo then declares to the Aliens, that to make up for her absence, she'll serve them justice! Although Pie notes he needs to recalculate the situation %, and Tart is perplexed by the Mew Mew's newfound confidence, Quiche is happy that Ichigo has arrived.
