Quiche and the Blue Knight is the twentieth episode of season 2 for Tokyo Mew Mew New.
Synopsis[]
Ichigo's arm is red after getting in a fight the night before. As a result, Quiche has a plan.
Plot[]
Within the Aliens spaceship, Pie and Tart watch as Kish recovers in a rejuvenation pod where he claims their lord will awaken soon.
While practicing kendo in the school dojo, Aoyama has a hallucination where Ichigo is engulfed by a tall and menacing shadowy figure.
At school, Miwa and Moe redirect Aoyama's fan girls to allow a safe route for Ichigo and Aoyama. Holding hands while walking together, Aoyama asks Ichigo if her arm from her last battle is okay. Although Ichigo brushes it off, Aoyama embraces her, noting his concern about her always disappearing on him and that he no longer wants her to battle. Kish, who kidnaps Ichigo riding on a giant crow, interrupts their moment together.
Meanwhile, Mint asks her brother Seiji to stop his new atmospheric purification project. However, he refuses, citing that the critical failure of his last project may have exacerbated the atmosphere, and shows a live feed of it to reassure her nothing will go wrong.
Back to Ichigo, Kish holds her hostage on a building rooftop where she's restrained by a Chimera Animas Spider. Kish then taunts Ichigo with some strawberries, all while Pie enacts the Tokyo Gondwana Renaissance plan's final stage by unleashing a bacteria on Seiji's purification project. It causes the machine to malfunction and exude a navy color smog that engulfs the surrounding area in a smog. At Café Mew Mew, the Mew Mews, Ryo, and Keiichiro are ambushed by Tart and his army of Chimera Animas.
Returning to Kish and Ichigo, Kish announces that his lord will soon awaken, and the Earth will again belong to the Aliens. Despite, Mint wanting to help her fellow Mew Mews, Seiji orders their servants to keep her in the Mansion for her safety. Struggling to escape her confinement; Kish alludes to Ichigo that her friends at Café Mew Mew were being ambushed by his allies. The Mew Mews, along with Ryo and Keiichiro, had their struggles facing off against the Chimera Animas led by Tart.
Despite Kish trying to coax Ichigo into joining the aliens, Ichigo refuses, causing him to become tearfully upset and then try to strangle Ichigo. However, appearing behind Kish, Aoyama emits a lightening blue flame and uses it against Kish, freeing Ichigo of his hold. Demanding that Kish let go of Ichigo, Kish refuses and orders his Chimera Animas to attack, but Aoyama defeats them while Kish refuses to give up Ichigo. Hence, Aoyama transforms into Blue Knight, leaving Ichigo astonished.
A brief skirmish between Kish and Blue Knight, but Kish is quickly beaten, and when Blue Knight checks on Ichigo, he is perplexed and asks what he is. On the other hand, Ichigo claims that Aoyama was Blue Knight all along. Reflecting on his memories as Aoyama when he blanks out, Blue Knight finds himself yearning to protect Ichigo. The admission causes Ichigo to cry and then hug Blue Knight.
Visibly upset by Ichigo and Blue Knight's bonding moment, Kish tries to attack them and misses. Ichigo foils his second attack in her Mew Mew form. Although Ichigo wanted to fight against Kish, Blue Knight insisted on being the one to protect her. When Ichigo tries to help Blue Knight, Mash stops and warns her about the peril at Café Mew Mew. Without hesitation, Ichigo heads to the Café Mew Mew and assists her friends in defeating the remaining Chimeras. Before leaving, Tart warns the Mew Mews that they may have defeated the Chimeras; the final phase of "the plan" has yet to begin, and teleports out of there.
Alerted by this, Ryo has Keiichiro research the source of the problem in the Mew Mew HQ. There he relays that the smog came from Seiji's atmospheric purification machine, which was hi-jacked by the aliens. To make matters worse, the smog-like dome the city was trapped in was drawing in heat from the outside, thereby creating a pseudo-greenhouse. Because of this, the temperature would rise fifty degrees Celsius within twenty-four hours.
Elsewhere, the fight between Kish and Blue Knight continues, and Kish is defeated by his opponent, who he humbly admits defeat. Kish bows before Blue Knight and asks for forgiveness for his past transgressions. Pie and Tart appear and join Kish in bowing, leaving Blue Knight bewildered.
