A New Future We Build Together is the finale for Tokyo Mew Mew New. It is the twenty-fourth and final episode of the second and final season.

Synopsis[]

Deep Blue will use Mew Aqua to amplify his power to its limit, creating a portal between the Earth and his planet!

Plot[]

Regaining control of his body, Deep Blue holds Ichigo in a one-handed stranglehold and denounces that he's Aoyama. The injured Pie enters the room and witnesses the scene unfold as Aoyama struggles to regain control again, allowing Deep Blue to lose his grip over Ichigo's throat.

In complete control of his body again, Deep Blue is amazed by the power of Mew Aqua mixed in his blood. Deep Blue planned to use the Mew Aqua's power to amplify its power to its limit to create a portal between Earth and his Planet. He'd then have his Alien brethren return home, which Ichigo pleads not to happen, and the proclamation overjoyed Pie.

Wasting no time, Deep Blue opens a portal from above his base; Ichigo tries to stop him, but is restrained by Deep Blue's black lightning. Ichigo tries to reason with Deep Blue, asking why humanity has to perish to achieve his goal, and Deep Blue claims his people have long suffered on their current planet. His brethren laid their hopes onto him, believing he'd help them return to Earth; however, in their absence from it, humanity had destroyed it. On the other hand, Ichigo argues that not all humans are the same and hope to save them from their past mistakes. Still, Deep Blue insists all humans must perish, but Ichigo argues for a compromise. Despite Deep Blue's obstinance against any of Ichigo's reasoning, Ichigo still believes that co-existence between humanity and Aliens is possible, proven to her by her companion's constant cooperation.

A transparent Aoyama appears, forcing Deep Blue's Black Lightning to dispel and release Ichigo. The act astounds Deep Blue as the portal in the sky closes, and Aoyama confesses to Ichigo that she emotionally helped him significantly. He then shifts his attention to Deep Blue and makes him realize that Ichigo also had the same emotional effect on him and won't give up on Earth too.

Despite Aoyama trying to coerce control over Deep Blue, it proves futile, reaffirming his belief that there's no chance of co-existence between the two races. Continuing to fire off a weaker version of his black lightning attack, it's countered by Ichigo's StrawBell Bell. Confused by Ichigo's unyielding determination, Aoyama standing beside him, claims that's how she is, as Pie witnesses this. Managing to make Deep Blue have a change of heart, making him no longer want to destroy humanity, Pie is shocked by the turn of events and then stabs him with his sword.

This act reopens the portal from Deep Blue's wound. Now that the portal was reopened, the Aliens prepared to travel to Earth using their spaceships. Back on Earth, Pie gloats that his Alien brethren will soon arrive and destroy humanity. Emotionally, Ichigo hugs Deep Blue, whose appearance is that of Aoyama, causing the portal's color to change from blue to pink. She then begs Aoyama to reconsider working together with her to create a new future where humanity and the Aliens coexist.

Teleported outside the base into the beam of light, Ichigo and Aoyama use the Mew Aqua Rod to cast Ribbon Aqua Drops. The spell causes the Alien's world to transform from a wasteland into a lush and green environment. Back on Earth, the spell heals Kish's wounds and the injuries that her friends and Tart had sustained. Before disappearing for good, Deep Blue thanks Ichigo.

Returning to the base, Ichigo frantically tries to awaken the unconscious Aoyama, who didn't awaken until a single tear dropped on the bell necklace he once gave her. Now awake, Aoyama kisses Ichigo and is soon joined by the Mew Mews, who are grateful that Ichigo is fine. They're all met by the Aliens claiming they're leaving the Earth. Before that, Tart says goodbye to Purin and Pie to Lettuce. Kish also says goodbye to Ichigo and kisses her on the cheek before leaving.

Afterward, the Mew Mews return with Aoyama and Masha to the ruined Café Mew Mew Keiichiro and Ryo were at.

A month passed, and the destroyed buildings were reconstructed all around Tokyo. At that time, Ichigo walked with Miwa and Moe, where it was revealed that Aoyama would be studying abroad. Ichigo admitted that she was okay with Aoyama doing this, but was blindfolded by Miwa and roped up by her Mew Mew Friends, who were dressed as ninjas.

Carried off to Café Mew Mew and now dressed in a fancy white dress, her friends and Aoyama fancily dressed themselves for a send-off party for Aoyama. Zakuro stated it was an idea by Mint, much to her dismay. As the party goes on, Ryo comments how the Mew Mew Project is no longer needed, which shocks the Mew Mews, and from Ichigo's inner monologue, realizes it as there are no more Chimera Animas to fight.

Eventually, Ichigo sees Aoyama off at the airport, and until he returns, she vows to help the Earth and all living things on it.

During the credits, Mint starts her own company, Zakuro prepares for a live concert, and Purin is visited by Tart, who eats homemade food with Purin's siblings. Lettuce is a tour guide for the ocean museum, and the Aliens are enjoying their revitalized planet by harvesting strawberries.

Finally, Ryo and Keiichiro were surprised to see that the Mew Mews wanted to continue working at the Café Mew Mew, now called Café Mew Mew New.
