Turning into a Cat – Justice Lies in a Girl in Love ~Nya! (jpn. ネコになる、正義の味方は恋する少女にゃん Neko ni naru, seigi no mikata wa koisuru shōjo nyan) is the 1st episode of the 1st season of Tokyo Mew Mew anime. It aired in Japan on April 6, 2002.
Summary[]
Ichigo Momomiya is on a date with her crush, Masaya Aoyama, when there is an earthquake. Ichigo has a 'dream' that an Irimote cat went inside her but later it is revealed that it was a real happening. After the earthquake, Ichigo starts acting like a cat. When a monster attacks them, a mysterious man saves Ichigo and tells her to defeat it. The man gives Ichigo a pendant, which she uses to transform into Mew Ichigo. From there, her instincts take over and she defeats the monster. The man then refuses to explain what happened, and so, another came forward to introduced himself as Keiichiro Akasaka, and the other man: Ryou Shirogane.
